Welcome to SAHAYOGINI

“Sahayogini” is a non-governmental charity organization pioneered by the parents of persons with Multiple Disabilities Having Visual and/or Hearing Impairment with Other Associated Disabilities. As the name suggests it is the culmination of mutual cooperation & collective efforts of the concerned parents who are aimed at securing for such disabled persons self-sufficiency and betterment of life with major focus on rehabilitation of those left with no parental/family support. It has come into existence with the inspiration and motivation from Sense International India and Helen Keller Institute for the Deaf and Deafblind Navi Mumbai. It is registered u/s 21 of Societies Registration Act 1860 as well as under Maharashtra Public Trust Act 1950

To be in the lead role spearheading and supporting the campaign for marginalizing/eradicating human disability. To be a support system for the parents in this Journey.

Mission

To create inclusive & barrier free Society for the persons with Multiple Disabilities whether they are with or without family support and secure for them self-sufficient and healthy life by providing infrastructure and need based education, life-skill training, medication, rehabilitation so that they can be integral part of the Society & lead their lifes at par with normal members of the Society.

Rehabilitation of those Disabled Persons who are without family/parental support by providing them all the basic amenities of life under the corporate guardianship of Sahayogini. To Promote/ensure all-round development/welfare of the Disabled Persons so as to make them self-sufficient and self-proof; through joint and collective efforts by creating a common platform/common bonding within the frame work of the law.

When SAHAYOGINI had just entered the world of services to Disability, Sense International India, Ahmedabad recognized the Values and Competence of the Promoters that facilitated Partnership between SENSE INDIA & SAHAYOGINI to work hand-in-hand for the Deaf blind and Multisensory Impaired children/persons as .SENSE (I) INDIA is totally committed and dedicated to the welfare of the Deaf-blind People.

  • Deaf- blindness is one of the dreadful disabilities under Multiple Disability for which Sahayogini works.
  • Under the Partnership regime Sahayogini began its operations for Deaf-blind Children/Adult under the collaborative Project-SPARSH.

Executive Committee

The first Executive Committee of the “SAHAYOGINI PALAK SANSTHA NAVI MUMBAI”-

 

Executive Committee has been formed in terms of Rules and Regulations of the Trust to conduct the activities and achieve the envisaged aims and objectives under the overall supervision and guidance of the General Body. Managing Commiittee inter- alia includes Shri Suresh L Naik, President, Retired Audit Officer,CAG, who has many years experience the disability sector field, Shri K. Jagathpathi CA and a Retired Banker as Treasurer and Mrs.Geetanjali Gupta as Secretary.
